About
Women for Wolves is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary and wolf conservation organization based in Northern California. Founded in 2013 by Anjali Ranadive while at UC Berkeley, it is now the largest wolf-dog sanctuary in Northern California.
The organization is home to 27 wolves and wolf-dogs. What began as a personal healing journey has evolved into a sanctuary, conservation initiative, and haven for women to reconnect, learn, and grow. The all-female advocacy group brings together educators, sanctuaries, scientists, artists, activists, and indigenous leaders to advocate for wolves and reimagine coexistence between people and wildlife.
