Save Red Wolves Coalition

Save Red Wolves Coalition is a collaborative effort led by the Center for Biological Diversity and Wildlands Network to raise funds and awareness for the critically endangered red wolf. Red wolves are the most endangered canines on the planet.

In 2024, the coalition successfully raised $4 million through a match challenge, enabling North Carolina to receive a $25 million federal grant to build 13 wildlife crossings in red wolf territory. These crossings will protect endangered red wolves and dozens of other species from vehicle strikes, one of the leading causes of mortality.
