About
Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue is a small, grassroots 501(c)(3) program located in Incline Village, California. Founded by Executive Director Pamela Jo in 1986, with official nonprofit status in 1994, the organization is run entirely by volunteers.
LTWR saves wolves, wolfdogs, and dogs that resemble wolves from abuse, abandonment, neglect, and euthanasia. Unlike a sanctuary, LTWR is a foster-based rescue that evaluates, provides medical care, behavior training, and places animals in qualified homes. They have created a network of reliable foster homes stretching from California to Colorado.
