About
Founded in 1985 by a group of biologists led by Dr. L. David Mech, the International Wolf Center advances the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wild lands, and the human role in their future. The Center serves as one of the leading educational facilities about wolves in the world.
Located in Ely, Minnesota, the heart of wolf country, the International Wolf Center provides educational programming, maintains a resident pack of ambassador wolves, and publishes the acclaimed International Wolf magazine.
