About
Grupo Lobo is a Portuguese non-governmental organization founded in 1985, dedicated to the conservation of the Iberian wolf and its ecosystem. They operate the Centro de Recuperação do Lobo Ibérico (Iberian Wolf Recovery Center).
The sanctuary cares for wolves that have come into conflict with humans. Only about 300 wild wolves remain in Portugal, mainly in the northern regions.
