About
Full Moon Farm is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of wolfdogs. Situated on 17 mountain acres in Black Mountain, North Carolina, the sanctuary was founded by Nancy LaPorta in 2002 and has provided homes for nearly 700 wolfdogs since then.
As WNC's only sanctuary for wolfdogs who cannot survive in the wild, Full Moon Farm's goal is to rescue and provide sanctuary while educating the public that fairy tales about wolves are not true. Several of their wolfdogs have been adopted by Hollywood animal trainers and appeared in films like The Chronicles of Narnia.
