About
The European Alliance for Wolf Conservation (EAWC) is a coalition of NGOs from 15 European countries founded in 2015 by Ferus (France), Lobo Marley (Spain), and ZooLogical (Portugal). Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, the EAWC advocates for non-lethal coexistence with wolves in accordance with EU Habitats Directive protections.
The objective is achieving a better conservation status for wolves throughout Europe and strict protection under Article 12 of the Habitats Directive, without unnecessary and counterproductive lethal management. The alliance works to provide a common, united voice before European institutions and national governments.
