About
The California Wolf Center is one of the largest breeding facilities for Mexican wolves in America. Founded in 1977 by Paul and Judy Kenis to assist in the recovery of wild wolf species through education, conservation, and research. Their Mexican Wolf Conservation Program supports and protects every wild Mexican wolf pack in the country.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, the Center is dedicated to increasing public awareness and understanding of the importance of wolves and wildlife. They participate actively in the Mexican Wolf Species Survival Plan and have helped release wolves into the wild in Arizona and New Mexico.
